Terms of Service
Last updated: April 17, 2026
1. Acceptance of Terms
By downloading, installing, or using MySafeCard, you agree to these Terms of Service and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the app.
2. Medical Disclaimer
MySafeCard is an information-sharing tool only. It is NOT a medical device, diagnostic tool, or medical advice service. The information on your emergency card is provided entirely by you. MySafeCard does not verify, validate, or endorse any health information you enter.
In any medical emergency, always contact emergency services first (call 112 or your local emergency number). Do not delay calling emergency services because of this app.
3. Not a Medical Device
MySafeCard has not been evaluated or approved by any regulatory authority (including the CDSCO, FDA, or CE Mark) as a medical device. It must not be used as a substitute for professional medical judgment or emergency treatment.
4. Eligibility and Age Requirements
You must be at least 13 years old to use MySafeCard. If you are under 18, you must have the consent of a parent or legal guardian to create an account and use the service. By using MySafeCard, you represent that you meet these age requirements.
MySafeCard does not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we become aware that a user is under 13, we will terminate that account and delete all associated data promptly.
5. Account Responsibility and Security
You are solely responsible for the accuracy, completeness, and currency of all information on your emergency card. MySafeCard is not liable for any harm arising from inaccurate, outdated, or incomplete card information.
You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials. Do not share your password, OTP codes, or magic sign-in links with anyone. If you suspect unauthorised access to your account, contact us immediately at support@mysafecard.in and change your credentials.
If you sign in using Google Sign-In, your account is linked to your Google credentials. You are responsible for the security of your Google account. MySafeCard is not liable for unauthorised access resulting from compromise of your Google account.
We support the following authentication methods: email and password, one-time passcode (OTP, valid for 10 minutes), magic sign-in link (valid for 1 hour), and Google Sign-In. For security reasons, OTP codes and magic links expire and cannot be reused. You agree not to attempt to bypass, replay, or brute-force authentication mechanisms.
6. Card Deletion
When you delete a card, all personal and medical data (name, photo, blood group, allergies, medications, contacts, and all other fields) is permanently and immediately erased. This action is irreversible. MySafeCard is not responsible for any consequences resulting from the deletion of card data.
You are responsible for destroying or discarding any printed copies of your card after deletion, as printed copies are not affected by the in-app deletion.
7. Card URL Persistence and NFC Tag Reuse
Each card is assigned a permanent unique URL. After deletion, the URL record (containing no personal data) is retained to support NFC tag reuse. Anyone who scans the URL after deletion will see a "card not found" message — your medical data is not accessible.
You acknowledge and agree that the URL shell is retained after deletion for the purpose described above. If you reuse the URL by creating a new card, the new card data will be publicly accessible to anyone with the link. You are responsible for ensuring any new card you create is accurate and intentional.
8. Public Accessibility of Emergency Cards
Your emergency card is designed to be publicly accessible to anyone with the link or NFC tag — including emergency responders who may not be known to you. By creating a card, you consent to this public accessibility. You control exactly what information appears on your card and may edit or delete it at any time.
9. Emergency Contact Approvals
When you add an emergency contact, you may request their approval to be listed on your card. By sending an approval request, you represent that you have the contact's permission to share their name and phone number with MySafeCard. You are solely responsible for ensuring the contact information you provide is accurate and that the person has consented to receive the approval request.
Emergency contacts do not need a MySafeCard account to approve or decline. Approval requests expire after 30 days. MySafeCard is not liable for any consequences arising from a contact approving or declining a request, or from an expired request.
10. Card Redemption and Activation Codes
Physical card orders include an activation code that links the physical card to your digital profile. Each activation code is single-use and non-transferable. You are responsible for keeping your activation code secure until redemption. MySafeCard is not liable for codes that are lost, shared, or redeemed by an unauthorised party. Redemption attempts are rate-limited to prevent misuse.
11. Device Permissions
By using features that require device permissions (camera, photo library, NFC), you grant MySafeCard the right to use those device capabilities for the specific features described. Permissions are requested only when you initiate the relevant action and can be revoked at any time through your device settings.
12. Push Notifications
MySafeCard may send push notifications to remind you to complete your emergency card profile after activating a redemption code. By allowing notifications, you consent to receiving these reminders. You can disable push notifications at any time through your device settings.
13. Email Communications
By creating an account, you consent to receiving transactional emails from MySafeCard, including: verification codes, magic sign-in links, welcome messages, activation codes for physical card orders, and card completion reminders. These emails are essential for the operation of the service and cannot be individually opted out of while maintaining an active account.
14. Physical Card Orders, Payment, and Delivery
MySafeCard offers an optional paid service to print and deliver a physical emergency card. By placing an order and completing payment, you agree to the following terms.
Payment: Payments are processed securely through Razorpay, a PCI-DSS compliant payment gateway regulated in India. We accept UPI, debit cards, credit cards, and net banking. MySafeCard does not store your card number, CVV, or banking credentials — these are handled entirely by Razorpay. The price displayed at checkout is all-inclusive (product + shipping + 18% GST, HSN 4911). A GST-compliant invoice will be emailed to you after payment is confirmed.
Delivery: Orders are typically processed and dispatched within 3–5 business days after payment confirmation. Delivery timelines vary by location (4–14 business days after dispatch). See our Shipping & Delivery Policy for full details. Delivery timelines are estimates and are not guaranteed.
Cancellations and Refunds: Physical cards are custom-printed items. Cancellations are only possible within 2 hours of payment, and only if printing has not yet commenced. Once printing has commenced, orders cannot be cancelled or refunded. Exceptions apply for defective, damaged, or lost-in-transit cards. See our Cancellation & Refund Policy for full details.
Card accuracy: You are responsible for ensuring the card content is accurate before submitting a print order. The physical card reflects your digital card at the time the print file is generated. MySafeCard does not verify the medical information printed on your card.
Delivery address: You are solely responsible for providing accurate delivery details (name, address, phone number, and email). MySafeCard is not liable for non-delivery or delays caused by incorrect address information.
Data use: Data collected for order fulfilment (delivery name, address, phone number, email, Razorpay payment ID, and order details) is used solely for printing, shipping, payment verification, and invoicing. Your medical information is used only to generate the card artwork and is not stored in billing or invoice records. Razorpay may collect and retain payment data in accordance with their own Privacy Policy. GST invoices are retained for a minimum of 7 years as required under Indian tax law. Delivery details are removed from active systems within 60 days of confirmed delivery. See our Privacy Policy for full details.
15. Intellectual Property
All content, branding, design, software, and other materials provided by MySafeCard — including the MySafeCard name, shield logo, card design templates, and application code — are the property of MySafeCard or its licensors and are protected by applicable intellectual property laws.
You are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use the MySafeCard app solely for your personal use in accordance with these Terms. You may not copy, modify, distribute, sell, or create derivative works from any MySafeCard content or materials without our express written consent.
Card content you create (your personal and medical information) remains your own. By submitting it to MySafeCard, you grant us a limited licence to store and display it solely for the purpose of providing the service to you.
16. Prohibited Uses
You may not use MySafeCard to: submit false or misleading medical information; impersonate another person; attempt to access or manipulate other users' data; use the service for any illegal purpose; attempt to circumvent the app's security mechanisms; or abuse rate limits or redemption systems. Violations may result in immediate account termination.
17. Service Availability
MySafeCard is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. We do not guarantee uninterrupted availability, accuracy of data transmission, or that the service will be error-free. We may modify, suspend, or discontinue the service at any time with or without notice.
18. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, MySafeCard, its developers, affiliates, and service providers are not liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from: your use of or inability to use the app; any medical emergency outcome; inaccurate card information; NFC or QR code malfunction; data loss; failure of push notifications or email delivery; emergency contact approval outcomes; or reliance on information displayed on any emergency card.
19. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless MySafeCard and its developers from any claim, loss, liability, damage, or expense (including legal fees) arising from your use of the app, your card content, your emergency contact approval requests, or your violation of these Terms.
20. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of India. Any disputes arising under these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Hyderabad, Telangana, India.
21. Consent Recording
When you create an account or sign in for the first time, MySafeCard records your acceptance of these Terms of Service, the Privacy Policy, and (where applicable) the medical data declaration. The record includes: your user ID, email address, the date and time of acceptance, the version of terms accepted, your device platform (web, Android, or iOS), and your sign-in method (email or Google). This record is stored securely in Firebase Firestore and is retained for the lifetime of your account plus a minimum of 7 years thereafter, as required for legal compliance. You may request a copy of your consent record at any time by emailing support@mysafecard.in.
22. Changes to Terms
We may update these Terms at any time. The "Last updated" date reflects the most recent revision. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
